Take Back the Night

A Powerful Evening of Support & Solidarity

Join us on Tuesday, April 30, 2024  from 7:30 PM – 9:00 pm on the State House lawn.

Take Back the Night is a globally recognized event aimed at ending sexual violence in all its forms. It provides a platform for survivors to share their stories, allies to show their support, and communities to come together in solidarity against sexual assault. This event originated as a protest against the fear and violence that women face when walking alone at night, but it has since evolved into a movement to end all forms of sexual violence, including harassment, assault, and abuse.

This year’s Take Back the Night event promises to be an impactful and empowering evening. Here’s what you can look forward to:

Speakers: Hear from survivors, advocates, and community leaders who are working tirelessly to end sexual violence and support survivors.

March: Take part in a symbolic march through the streets, reclaiming public spaces and asserting our right to safety and freedom from violence.

Music: .We look forward to a performance by the Songweavers.

We invite you to join us for Take Back the Night on April 30th and add your voice to the chorus of those demanding an end to sexual violence. Whether you’re a survivor, ally, advocate, or concerned community member, your presence matters.
