As we bid farewell to 2023, it’s an opportune moment to reflect on the incredible journey and milestones achieved by the Crisis Center of Central New Hampshire. This year has been a testament to the dedication, resilience, and unwavering commitment of our team, community partners and of course the survivors we help every day. Let’s take a moment to celebrate the impactful strides we’ve made in supporting individuals in crisis and fostering support and well-being throughout Merrimack County.

One of the standout achievements of 2023 was the expansion of our services to better meet the diverse needs of survivors. We recognized the evolving landscape of challenges and responded by introducing new programs and support initiatives. From art therapy to support groups, our aim was to ensure accessibility and inclusivity in addressing the varying aspects of challenges survivors face. Additionally with our new Warren Street office we will have increased opportunities for program expansion, more visibility in the community and most importantly are more accessible to survivors who need our services.

Additionally, in an effort to prevent homelessness and rapidly rehouse those in need, the Crisis Center implemented targeted strategies. This included financial assistance programs, case management, and community partnerships to facilitate the quick transition of individuals and families from crisis to stable housing situations.

Throughout the year, we deepened our partnerships with local organizations, schools, and healthcare providers. We held community listening sessions to better understand the needs of our partners and how we can work together to implement programs that will have positive outcomes on those needs. We are piloting Operation Involve Teens in Franklin to help equip youth with the leadership skills they need to teach their peers about healthy relationships. Our team worked tirelessly to provide comprehensive training programs and educational resources to schools, hospitals and businesses. From domestic and sexual violence trainings to workshops for educators, we equipped individuals with the tools to recognize signs of distress and offer meaningful support.

Our crisis response team faced numerous challenges in 2023, yet their commitment to providing immediate and effective assistance remained unwavering. Whether responding to emergencies or offering emotional support, the Crisis Center continued to be a lifeline for those in distress, reinforcing our commitment to being a beacon of hope for the community.

As we look back on the achievements of the Crisis Center of Central New Hampshire in 2023, it’s clear that the collective efforts of our team and community have made a lasting impact. We are grateful for the trust placed in us by those we serve, and the support received from our partners. Moving forward, we remain dedicated to the cause, embracing the lessons learned and the challenges overcome as we continue our mission to provide support, foster resilience, and promote safety throughout Merrimack County. Together, we look forward to a future where everyone has access to the support they need to thrive.
